AVAILABLE ONLY WITH PRE-ORDER. My very own single-source, high phenolic early harvest extra virgin olive oil from Crete, Greece. This unique olive oil will be produced from unripe olives of the "Tsounati" variety and will be harvested during fall 2026 from the farm of Giorgos Poulakas in Varipetro, outside Chania.
Tsounati (or "tsounates" in the plural) are a rare cultivar, or variety of olives found exclusively in Western Crete. Most tsounati trees grow and thrive in higher altitudes. Oil from these trees is scarce and costly to produce, given the fact that these trees only bear fruit every other year.
2026 pre-order timeline
You are placing a pre-order or reserving your bottles.
- October 2026 — Harvest and pressing: Olives are hand-picked and pressed the same day.
- Preparation: After the required filtering and settling time, the olive oil is bottled.
- Import and transport: Required FDA approvals and import formalities are completed, followed by air cargo to the United States and customs clearance.
- Orders expected to begin shipping — November 15, 2026: Orders begin shipping after arrival and customs clearance.
Timing remains subject to harvest conditions, including Mother Nature’s cooperation, and to import and logistics delays involving warehouses, airports, airplanes and paperwork on both sides of the Atlantic. Customers will receive updates if the schedule changes.

Combined pantry orders: Any in-stock Greek Pantry items purchased in the same order as Agourolado will be held and shipped together with the olive oil when it is ready. If you would like those items shipped sooner, contact us immediately after placing your order. A separate shipment can be arranged, and an additional shipping charge will apply.
Returns
Eligible non-food physical products may be returned within 14 days after delivery. Food and other exclusions apply; consult the policy before ordering. Pre-orders may be canceled for a full refund before shipment.
